Crowded House Live, Melbourne 8/11/2007

Crowded House live at Rod Laver Arena (Tennis Centre) Melbourne.

It was a nostalgic trip. It’s always great to hear those songs live. The band seem to breathe new life into them every time they’re performed. Matt Sherrod’s talents were showed off straight away in the opening song Private Universe. He seems to fit well with the band.
Paul Hester’s constant chatter and antics were sadly missed though.

If I had to make one negative comment, it would be about the spot lights. During some of the songs large blinding spotlights shone out on the audience. It made it hard to see the band, and left blue dots in my vision. Other times the lighting was at it’s usual brilliant standard.
